In 2025, these festivities continue to be a vibrant symbol of Guimar\u00e3es identity, bringing together students, alumni and the local community around rituals that combine devotion, satire, music and conviviality.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Pinheiro (November 29): <\/strong>It marks the beginning of the festivities with a night-time parade through the city streets, where students carry a large pine tree, to the sound of drums and snare drums.
